Sunday School

Sunday school ministers to people at every age and stage of life.

Sunday school supports the process of lifelong discipleship.

Sunday school presents Bible lessons at every person's level of understanding.

In the nursery babies point to and carry pictures of Jesus. Children act out Bible stories.

Youth role play and brainstorm how Bible principles apply to their lives in the 21st century.

Adults build life decisions on biblical principles.

Senior adults prepare to remain strong spiritually.

The first Sunday of Each month will be designated as Children's Sunday. A separate Children's Service will be promoted for all children K-5th grade. Each service will be filled with upbeat music, games, crafts and great lessons.

Hospitality Ministry

Our Hospitality Ministry Team is made up of loving people who serve to help create a welcoming lifestyle for our church. Out team members are a dedicated group committed to all aspects of welcoming guests from the moment they enter the building until they are safety to their destination. This special group of people also led out in all our churche's special services and functions.

Music Ministry

Music is an integral part of our worship at First Baptist Freeport. Music unites the congregation in praise and worship of our Savior and prepares us for the hearing of God's Word.

Library Ministry

The Library ministry provides literature and media resources to aid individuals by developing skills, concepts, and values necessary for spiritual and intellectual growth in the church, in the school, in the home, and in the community. It helps to fulfill our churches purpose by providing a variety of resources and information, often from a Christian perspective, which promote and foster spiritual and intellectual growth. In many instances it provides God-glorifying alternatives to secular information and entertainment. Although our Library is small now our hopes are that in the years to come that it will develop into a place that offers many valuable resources for all ages.

Student & Children's Ministry

At First Freeport, our Student Ministry desires to reach out to students and lead them to a closer relationship with God. We do this though the 5 purposes of the church and of our lives as Christian Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism. We wrap all these in our mission statement which in short can be stated: ACCEPT - LEAD - SEND. In its entirety, our purpose statement is...To ACCEPT students where they are; To LEAD students where God wants them to be; To SEND students to where God wants them to go, with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Example. Some of our activities through the year include:

To define who we are and what we do, our Children's Ministry will adopt the following purpose statement:*"To see children come to Know Jesus Christ as Savior, to grow as members of God’s Family, and to go in service to our Lord"*. This can be summarized with the three words: Know, Grow, and Go.

Care Ministry

We care about people, others and about you! Worship Care provides our parents with an opportunity to worship together while their children are being cared for in our children ministry room. Preschoolers, four years old and younger, participate in planned activities in their classrooms during Sunday Morning Worship.
