Wendesday Oasis

WEDNESDAY, HUMP DAY…
Wednesday is known as “Hump Day” in many work places. It is a halfway point in the work week. So people who are looking forward to the weekend say that they are “over the hump” as Wednesday draws to a close. Wednesday is a special day for First Baptist Church, too. It is special not because we’re halfway through a work week, but because it offers an oasis from the day to day grind of life and a mid-week boost for our faith. Our Wednesday evening oasis includes fellowship, discipleship and worship, three components that help all of us to stay focused on our call and mission throughout the week. Wednesday nights at FBC are meant to catapult our church family through the remainder of the week in a way honoring Christ Jesus. There are two times a week that are essential for the FBC family to be together, Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. They are strategic days to mature you as a disciple of Jesus Christ. If you participate in Sunday mornings, but don’t participate in Wednesday evening services then you’re only experiencing a “half-dose” of the prescribed amount of teaching and corporate worship. We will have specialized services on Wednesday evenings.
